Wagon Wheel Inn

For a 2 and 1/2 star place, this room surprised me with how orderly and clean it was, especially the beds. I checked the bed, toilet, and shower with my UV black light, and they came back more or less 100% clean. The sheets and pillows were very clean and smelled like they’d really used Clorox bleach. The beds were surprisingly comfortable too. I paid $75 or $80, and the main issues were a TV that looked like somebody had punched it and a mini fridge with its door ripped off. There was some weird stuff on the wallpaper near the light switches and thermostat buttons, basically on surfaces people would touch. As long as you don’t lick the walls, switches, or buttons, I don’t really see a problem. I didn’t take or include photos or videos. I enjoyed my stay and would happily come back.

We booked this because it was close to the concert venue, but the room put me off staying again. The end room was small, as I expected, but I hadn’t realized the tub took up literally half the space. Despite being listed as non smoking, it smelled strongly of cigarettes. The wallpaper was peeling, and there were bare patches where plaster hadn’t been repaired. I know it was a holiday weekend with few vacancies and inflated rates, but even the limited time I spent sleeping there was enough to rule out a return. I’d strongly suggest finding somewhere nicer.

Stores all around and a great location. The staff are nice and make you feel like part of the family, with great service.

So much mold that I could taste it every time I breathed. The place was a complete pile of crap in every way. If you want the worst motel experience ever, you’ve got a good chance of finding it here. You’ve been warned.
