Seaport Inn and Suites

My boyfriend works out of town Monday through Thursday and stayed in a double Queen bed room. He came home covered in bed bug bites. Worst hotel experience, absolutely disgusting. People were reporting bed bugs three years ago, so you’d think the hotel would’ve dealt with it by now, but apparently not.

The desk clerk was super nice, but I had to wait while he went to another motel to make my room keys. I also had to go to a different motel to pick up my receipt when I checked out. The mattress was worn out, and what looked like food grease was all over the nightstand and TV remote. The front lobby was pathetic. Once was enough for me.

The room was really dirty, and since it was Friday I had to clean it myself. Spiders and ants were everywhere, the coffee maker looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, and the shower head leaked. The AC made an awful noise and was held up by two pieces of 2x4. The room service staff were nice, but seemed rushed and didn’t get enough time to clean properly. The front desk was almost never staffed. If I needed a plunger or wanted to do laundry, staff would follow me to the laundry room and watch me put in my clothes, and they wouldn’t let me plunge my own toilet. They also need to work on their public speaking. I never managed to speak with management, and maintenance was hit or miss. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless some real changes are made.

At 11:30 PM, after traveling all day, I found nobody at the desk or anywhere in the building. I had to go to another hotel to get checked in. During my three nights there, I never got room service. The place was under construction, but housekeeping was still terrible: ripped caution tape on the floors and wooden bookshelves lying in the middle of the hallways. On my last night, when I had to be up at 4AM, the receptionist from the other hotel came banging on my door because they didn’t have my ID on file. For this price, having no one at the front desk and no committed room service is unacceptable. Terrible experience from the start. Wouldn’t recommend staying here.
