Liz and Tim were the bright spot of this stay. Both were warm, professional, helpful, and easy to talk to. I chose the hotel for an after-Christmas staycation close to home, and I’ve had a great experience at Comfort Suites in Florida before. I’m not giving up on the brand, but I won’t come back to this location. The bed was so hard that I woke up sore during the night. I also found a white mark on the side of a nightstand and what looked like blush on the underside of the comforter. I always check the covers when I arrive, you can’t be too careful. I could hear the people above me walking around, which has never happened to me at a hotel. Breakfast was disappointing. The powdered eggs were spongy and the frozen sausage overcooked. They did have waffles, apples, oranges, yogurt, cereal, and plenty of bagels, so at least I didn’t go hungry. I also took a star off for the pool. I went looking for ibuprofen in the concession area and found only Tylenol, with an empty Advil box. Since I had no Advil, I thought the pool might ease the soreness. The water felt like a perfect temperature, but the enclosed pool room had no chlorine smell. I dipped in a hand and smelled it, and still couldn’t detect any chlorine. I’d spend a few extra dollars to stay somewhere else next time.

The room had a nice layout and amenities, and there are lots of places nearby to eat, drink, or get dessert in what felt like a safe town. The location is a strong point. But road noise carries into the rooms, and cleanliness in the elevators and rooms was poor, even though the lobby and breakfast areas were better. The thermostat in my room didn’t work right, the lobby’s lemon water wasn’t kept cold, and the coffee wasn’t very good.

Stephanie, the evening desk attendant, remembered my name and was so kind and understanding. She was really personable. My family has stayed here a few times now, and my rooms have always been clean and well stocked. The staff are kind and efficient, so I’ll keep staying here whenever I’m in Lexington.

It’s an older hotel, but they keep it clean and in good shape, including the pool. The continental breakfast was good too. I’ve stayed here several times and plan to book ahead for my next trip.
