The Manchester

We liked it so much that we added two nights to our original 3-night stay because we weren't ready to leave. The staff were terrific and arranged great tours and reservations at superb restaurants. The rooftop bar and restaurant seemed to draw local celebrities, so it was fun people-watching.

The drinks and service were unreal. I loved the decor and the whole feel of the place, too. At Granddam, get the flat iron, then have an old fashioned at the bar and a spicy marg up at the Lost Palm rooftop bar. Parking in the lot across the street can save you the valet fee and tip, though valet didn’t seem to cost much more than regular parking. I’m in Erie, PA, so I don’t know when I’ll make it back to Lexington, but I’d absolutely stay at the Manchester again. Every detail and interaction felt like perfection.

We want to stay here every time we come back. The rooftop and lobby bar are both great places to hang out, and the hotel sits right beside the Distillery district, with plenty of nightlife, food, and bars nearby. The rooms, linens, bedding, and amenities are all top notch. The service staff and front desk go above and beyond, and the bar area is one of the best decorated I’ve seen. This hotel really feels a class apart.

The drinks and atmosphere at the bar were great, and the bartenders knew their stuff. We also loved the room: it felt brand new, with beautiful decor and thoughtful details throughout. The hotel is in a lovely spot in the Distillery District, too. From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and excellent. Valet is the only parking option, which was a minor issue for us. A perfect five-star stay.
