Fairfield Inn & Suites Lexington East I-75

The room was clean and the bathroom was very nice. Everything else was about what you’d expect from hotels in this market. They should put more coffee pods in the room, though. Two decaf pods aren’t enough, and the coffee could be better.

Grace was so kind, and breakfast was hot and fresh. The gym was clean, with newer treadmills that made my workout comfortable. I stay here once a year when commuting to my winter condo. I love this Mariott, it’s clean as a whistle, and the beds have new, fluffy pillows that are really comfy.

The room itself was roomy enough and adequately clean. We heard noise through the thin walls from nearby rooms, even at that late hour. Breakfast was quieter than I expected, and they seemed to refresh the food regularly. Getting into the room was a debacle. We arrived close to 1am with my family after storms and traffic, even though my wife had called earlier to say we’d be late. We’d prepaid, but the desk employee said his system wouldn’t let him make keys unless we paid him again. I showed him Marriott’s confirmation email and my card activity. He asked me to come around the counter to look at his monitor and explain how I needed to pay again. I don’t work for Marriott, so the booking system didn’t mean anything to me. He called a supervisor, and eventually we got checked in. The delay cost my family sleep, and nobody apologized for the hassle.

The only downside was hearing traffic from I75. Otherwise, the room was extremely clean and spacious, and the staff were amazing. This is the best property I’ve stayed at in recent years. I’ll definitely come back.
