Getting snowed in here was actually pretty nice. The lobby had a Christmas tree, the atmosphere felt great, and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was served every morning and was delicious, especially the biscuits and gravy. The location was handy too, with lots of restaurants nearby. A few things in my room needed attention, and Dee from maintenance patiently fixed every issue despite having a lot of jobs that night. I felt safe here, which matters a lot to me. I’d absolutely come back.

There’s lots of room to spread out, and the room was both spacious and clean. This was a great value for a visit to the University of Kentucky, with campus, shopping, and food nearby. If you’re bringing a few kids and need a place in Lexington near the University of Kentucky, I’d recommend this Holiday Inn Express.

The room had plenty of space, but the lighting was awful and there were several long black hairs in the tub. When I went to buy a drink at night, no one was at the front desk. We’re honest, so we paid for it the next morning.

Our annual trip to Kentucky to meet up with my best friend for the University of Florida versus University of Kentucky football game fell through when government-related disruptions got our flights cancelled. We’d booked months earlier, back in July, and contacted the hotel to ask if any of our payment could be refunded. Kayla, the manager, listened, understood, and promptly gave us a full refund. She also said she hoped we’d be able to visit another time. Her kindness and professionalism made a disappointing situation much easier. If we’re in the area again, we’ll choose this hotel.

I booked a standard room for an appointment at uk, and everything else about the stay was great. It was very clean, we loved it, and we’d definitely stay again. The indoor pool was ice cold, though. Aside from that, five out of five for us.
