White Feather Motel

The housekeeper does an amazing job and the rooms are clean. This was my second stay for the Sugar Beat Harvest, and I plan to come back next year.

It's a small motel with only a few rooms, and it suited us for one night in Lexington, Michigan. We just needed a refrigerator and microwave, and those were there, along with Direct TV satilight. We visited in January, but it should be nice in spring, summer, and fall.

We stayed one night this past Saturday with two friends while seeing a show at the Lexington theater. The accommodations and location pleased us, and the place was clean and quaint. We're planning to book here again. Julie ennett

The one good thing is Lake Huron access, with a very nice beach within walking distance. Otherwise, my first visit to Lexington, MI left me unimpressed. For about $60 a night, it felt like a rip off, more like a dirty room for rent than a motel. It's hard to find inside a trailer park, with no lighting on the sign, and there was nobody in the office at 6 p.m. on a Saturday. The room was maybe 10x10, with a bathroom attached. There was no glass in the window, only the outside storm window. The TV cable wouldn't work unless held just right because it was taped together with electrical tape, and the remote had green, corroded batteries. The cold water was brown.
