Knights Inn Liberty

There were roaches crawling on the walls, mold in the bathroom, stained walls, and a ceiling that was coming down. This place isn't fit to live in, let alone qualify as a shelter. I'd rather sleep in my car. Do not book here.

We left at 2:30 in the morning with my three kids, and nobody got any sleep. This was supposed to be a place to rest, and we should all get a refund, or at least be paid for the horror show we went through. Are there any refunds? The bedbugs kept appearing on the mattress, and my 12-year-old and I were killing them one by one while they ran by my 14-year-old's legs. There were bugs on the floor too, though I couldn't tell what kind. We also found condom wrappers, a punched hole in the door, and tissues stuffed into the peephole. The shower looked like a place where you could catch an MRSA infection. There was a strange adjoining door bolted shut and partly blocked by a huge dresser. When we arrived, Michael Myers and friends seemed to be waiting outside, with a school bus just a few feet away that looked ready to take us on a field trip. I loved the “Crack Shack Hotel” reference someone else made. Kindred spirits, my friend. Whoever rated this place two stars is doing everyone a disservice. Horror movie status would be more accurate.

I went to Knights Inn three times in late 2021, each on a different day in a different month, to watch a movie and have a meal for the evening. In the morning each time, I returned my key card and checked out. It's one of the best hotels in Liberty, New York.

The room had no Wi-Fi, and about half the outlets didn't work. The TV remote had no batteries, the sheets were dirty and clearly used, and every room smelled of cigarette smoke. The ceiling above the tub was falling in, and the shower curtain hung from a heavy pipe that had come out of the wall at one end, so showering felt unsafe. At 4:30 a.m. the fire alarm went off because water from the second floor had broken through the ceiling into a first-floor room, though not ours.
