The bed was at least comfortable, and the building itself is gorgeous, old, and full of history. We had the huge bridal suite, but there was barely any climate control and the door didn't reach the floor. Staff talking down the hall at 7 to 7:30 in the morning carried right into our room while we were trying to have a lazy start. We also found a clump of hair stuck on the bathroom wall near the shower. Does nobody clean there? The wine was horrendous. I've had two-buck chuck that was better, and some of the grapes weren't even grown on the property. The bartender was nice, and exploring the place and its paranormal side was fun, but that's about all I enjoyed. The history is fascinating and the building is cool, but they should turn it into a haunted house and hotel and stop trying to make wine.

We recently rented a space for an event, and it worked out perfectly. All our guests loved it. The staff and owner were kind and helpful.

The bridal suite was huge and clean, and gave the wedding party a perfect place to get ready the night before. The property is beautiful and the wedding went perfectly. Jesse was so kind and helpful. I'm really glad we chose The Belvoir for our wedding.

The grounds have stunning views, and the stained glass and the history behind it are really interesting. I liked the concept and can see a lot of potential in this beautiful place. The vineyard is lovely too, and the wine was nice and reasonably priced. It's clearly on TV a lot. The price seemed right for a quaint place with so much history. We visited during the off-season for our anniversary, on a rainy weekend, and the hospitality felt a little lacking. With an inn this size and intimate, things should run more smoothly around the edges. Much of the grounds still looked unfinished, adding to its ghostly feel. From what I could tell, it was a two-person operation and could use investors. The rooms were definitely dirty, with dust and walls and corners that hadn't been kept up. Housekeeping seemed very much in-house, without a crew or clear standard of care, and there didn't seem to be a policy for real complaints. Our food went sour in the refrigerator because it didn't work, ruining our planned indoor picnic. When I mentioned it, I was told it was cold enough to keep the fruit fresh, and got no offer of food or apology for the cheese and salami. They just said it was too bad. The place felt more like a gas station than a traditionally hospitable inn.

My husband and I had a blast staying here for our anniversary. It's cozy, with just the right amount of spooky, and we enjoyed reading the journal guests had left in the room about their experiences. I've been for the wine before too, and have fun every time. The place is relaxing and beautiful, and I think the wine is great. I'd love to try ghost hunting next time. This place is such a gem, and I know we'll be back.
