The room was really clean, though it could use some updating. The pool and hot tub were heated and working, and breakfast was good. It's a good value, with Cracker Barrell and other restaurants and stores within walking distance.

I was really disappointed because AmericInn is usually nice for the price, but this place lets the brand down. The lobby and hallways had a strong, awful perfume smell, so anyone with breathing trouble or perfume allergies should avoid it. The carpet was disgusting, the paint was sloppy, and the furniture was poor quality. Our bathroom door handle was broken, and the outlets wouldn't hold even a phone charger. I haven't seen what breakfast is like yet.

The front desk guy was really nice, but there were problems everywhere else. The WiFi didn't work, and when we got to breakfast at 7:30, the eggs, sausage, and bread were gone. The milk was spoiled. One pillowcase had a brown stain, and the beds had no comforters, just a flat sheet, a woolly layer, and another flat sheet. There was gunk all over the remote, particles floating in the spa, and a dehumidifier by the pool was draining through its moldy hose straight into the water.

I liked the clean room and found the jacuzzi tub relaxing. Then I woke up to hundreds of ants covering the tub, walls, and ceiling. Nobody responded to my complaint or to booking.com's inquiry about refunding my money.
