We stayed one night for a concert at the venue across the street, and the short walk to Pinnacle Bank Arena was really convenient. The hotel's also within walking distance of bars and places to eat. Check-in was quick, parking was easy, and a skywalk connects the garage to the hotel. I did think it was silly to pay for parking after paying to stay there. Our fifth-floor room was in good shape, clean, quiet, and easy to sleep in. The building is older but seems to have been renovated well. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were very soft. We felt safe both inside the hotel and around it. The suite's mini fridge and microwave helped since I have food allergies and bring and prepare all my food in the room. The microwave was tiny, and its turntable didn't spin, which made cooking properly difficult, but I managed. It was a good visit, and we'd stay again.
The staff have always been polite and knowledgeable, and I've had no service complaints. I come to Lincoln for work once a year and usually stay three or four days. I like having such a good range of food and drink within walking distance. The attached parking garage is handy, though it costs $23 a day. The price feels fair for what you get, so I'd recommend the hotel.
I won't be staying here next time because the bed was a deal breaker. It was so uncomfortable that I woke at 4 a.m. wanting to go home. I stuck it out until 8 for my wife, but she hated it too. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and our room itself was nice. Dinner at the bar and restaurant was delicious and very affordable, though the bartender had no personality and seemed to hate his job. Parking costs extra, which I now know is common around here.
After several hours stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic on I-80 because of bad weather and a wreck, I couldn't drive as far as planned and ended up in Lincoln. The service at this hotel was amazing when I arrived late that evening, and I have nothing but praise for the staff there. Still, recent events have badly tarnished the Hilton brand for me. Despite the praise for this particular hotel, I can't give any hotel under the Hilton umbrella a good rating because of Hilton Worldwide's corporate leadership.
After a long day of driving, the last thing I wanted was to puzzle out the parking garage machine. The front desk person said a QR code would get me in, but I couldn't make it work, with angry people waiting behind me. I took a ticket instead, so we'll see if the hotel sorts it out. Finding the room wasn't any easier. There's no signage to guide you, just a bunch of hallways with room numbers that seem randomly assigned. I guess signs aren't hip anymore. This is the dumbest hotel I've been to in a while, all that modern tech junk.
