Town House Extended Stay Hotel Downtown

Juli, the manager, was helpful whenever I needed something, like fresh batteries for the remote, or when I had to cancel the rest of my stay because of my allergies. The rest of the staff seemed low energy. It’s a decent downtown location, but walking back from dinner one night, I noticed there were no lights. The elevator was out of service. I hadn’t reserved ahead, and the night clerk first quoted me about $25-30 more than the price I’d seen on Hotels.com. He matched it once I showed him the site, so I didn’t need to book there. The room was a reasonable size, laid out with a small living room by the entrance, bathroom across from the kitchenette, and a queen bed farther in. It had two TVs, though I haven’t seen that in a hotel room before. The kitchen had cups, plates, pans, and utensils, but I stopped using the utensils because they gave my food a metallic, rusty taste. The bedding felt old, like sheets that had been washed for decades. Much of the furniture looked secondhand. A Motel 6 card listed check-in and checkout times and said “NO COOKING IN ROOM,” despite the stovetop and pots and pans. The desk was an old glass top sitting on two dressers. One dresser held an equipment deck that wasn’t connected to anything. I had to pull it away from the wall to reach the only outlet where I could plug in my laptop. My allergies flared up whenever I was in the room, and after a couple of days I developed a wheeze. I figured it might be dust from the AC/heater, so I stopped using it, especially since it sounded like a motorcycle when it started. That didn’t help. It may be a decent cheap downtown option if you don’t have allergies like mine.

Juli let us check in a bit early and quickly took care of a small issue. The room did what we needed, and Memorial stadium was about a 20-minute walk away. Thanks.

We were in town for the Lincoln Marathon and stayed one night. The room was clean and had everything we needed, and the front desk staff were excellent. The location worked well. I’d stay again.

Breakfast was the highlight, especially the made-to-order omelette station. There were grab-and-go choices too, and a great drink selection: sodas, juices, several kinds of coffee and milk, even single-serve almond milk cartons. The rooms were clean and roomy, and the recently renovated lobby looks gorgeous. I was very pleased with the stay.
