Comfort Suites Lindale - Tyler North

The bed was firmer than we like, and the walls were so thin we could hear coughing, sneezing, an alarm clock, and other noise from next door. In our room, the hair dryer wasn't mounted properly, with holes still visible where it seemed to have been. The toilet paper holder was loose and pulling away from the wall. The bathtub finish was peeling, as was the ceiling above it. It wasn't disgusting or anything, and it was fine for two nights, but our room could use some work.

It's in a good spot with lots nearby, but the room didn't impress me. The sheets and covers kept slipping off, and the mattress had lots of stains. The pool heater and jetted tub were broken. Staff mentioned something about a pump, and the pool was too cold to use.

This place has gone downhill over the years and feels like a dump. The ice machines have been out for at least three months, and now the elevator is broken too. Our room is on the third floor, which is ridiculous. This elite diamond member won't be back.

The rooms were fine, and the hot tub wasn't working during our stay. The elevator is also constantly out of order. The bigger problem was the billing: different shifts quoted us different prices for the same number of nights. We were charged twice the amount for a week, and the manager wasn't helpful. We called Choice Privileges, they opened a case, and that's how we got the overcharge refunded. The manager needs to train the employees properly.
