Swan Hotel & Suites

We stayed in the one room kitchen suite for 6-8 weeks. I was working a lot during the day, but the staff were friendly and it was quiet. They’re updating the rooms, and I think they’re replacing the roof too. When I checked out, the gentleman said I’d left just in time to miss the noise from the new roof going on. Everything you need is down the road.

The woman at the desk seemed to have a problem with Black people. My son went up to her and the first thing she did was scream that she’d kick him out, even though she didn’t know his parent was on the phone. She was nasty and so rude. I called the swan afterward and told her how she’d spoken to him, and she was just as nasty and rude on that call. I told him not to waste his money there and to go to the Bentley or loop in. They aren’t doing people right because of skin color.

I stayed here for over a year and dealt with a lot. The owner is absolutely amazing, but the staff act entitled about everything. Two days ago, I had to leave because of a safety issue. When I raised it, a staff member said I’d been there six hours and they weren’t refunding anything, then told me to call the police. That was wild. I’d had no problems during my stay, always paid, and always kept things clean. What happened was already extremely sad and stressful.

The sheets were dirty when I stayed last night. I tried calling the front desk with no answer, so I went there in person. The employee said the room had just been cleaned and that someone would meet me there. When the maintenance lady arrived, I showed her the stains. She started yelling that it wasn’t her fault and I should talk to the owner. She said she’d told them the sheets still had spots, but they wouldn’t buy new ones. She also said they don’t always change the first sheet over the mattress. Absolutely unbelievable. Never again. Spend a little more for a clean motel where you don’t have to worry about catching something. Swan Motel should be ashamed.
