The construction was loud and messy, and the pool I chose this hotel for was drained with scaffolding inside it. Since it had been an indoor/outdoor pool, there was also a huge opening in the wall, leaving the lobby windy and maybe 50 degrees. The restaurant was quiet, but the food was below average. The bartender did his best with what he had and made a killer daiquiri. I’d seen a few hotels nearby and picked this one after the website made the place look great. I guess the wording about breakfast wasn’t clear, because it wasn’t included. After a six-hour drive to arrive and find the hotel under major construction, I won’t be back.

I’d happily stay at Delta Hotels again. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, and updated, and the whole property was clean, modern, and clearly well maintained. Staff made everything welcoming and easy, and the hotel felt professionally run with attention to detail.

The rooms here are spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the staff’s thoughtfulness completely won me over. I’ve been a Hyatt Globalist for more than a decade and usually never consider staying elsewhere, but right from the moment I arrived, I was treated with such care. They even left a birthday card signed by NINE staff members. I’m looking forward to coming back and staying with Marriott again.

Nothing about this stay worked well. The room never cooled down, even though I was told at check-in that the hotel A/C was down but my room was working. By morning, the temperature was climbing. The shower water was painfully hot, too hot to stand under for more than a few seconds. The bar was closed, with nothing in the case or on tap, and the Starbucks area was shut with empty cases as well. At breakfast I had to get up and pay at checkout. The employee had no pen for me to sign the slip, then took forever to figure out how to print an itemized receipt. Buying water at the main desk took four minutes because the card reader wasn’t working. Even after I told the clerk, he still asked me to insert my card, and we eventually had to use the other terminal. The ice machines were out, so I had to ask at check-in and someone went to the kitchen to find ice. A horrible experience at a hotel that’s set up to impress.
