Eastgate Inn

During fall peak season, hotels in New Hampshire get very expensive. I booked a room with two beds, but when we arrived, it smelled of smoke and the hotel was full. They tried spraying to clear the odor, but it lingered. I didn’t have a good stay, although breakfast was decent.

I’ve been here for two months, and the friendly, polite management has helped make the place feel like home. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the grounds are kept up nicely. I’ve enjoyed staying here and appreciate the genuine attitude from the front desk. Great job, I’d give them 10 stars if I could!

Breakfast was very poor the next morning. The milk dispenser ran out, and there was no more milk, even though it’s a basic thing to have for coffee. The previous evening, we arrived around 7pm as three guests staying for one night and asked for an extra sheet. The man at reception was unhelpful and unkind. He said there was no maid service or room cleaning and that he had no sheet. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or return myself.

We got snowed in and were able to book an extra night without any trouble. The owners were very nice, and they provided plenty of soap, shampoo, and fresh towels. The room was clean and comfortable, with a great bed and pillows, though nothing fancy or modern. Breakfast was basic, but the coffee was delicious. The hot water was only lukewarm. Smart TVs were a nice bonus.
