Homewood Suites by Hilton Denver - Littleton

The king suite is quite spacious, and it was handy having the toilet and bath in a separate room from the vanity. The place was clean and mostly up to date. The bed was okay. My one issue was the noisy HVAC unit. I turned it off overnight, which worked fine since it was a cold night.

With a power outage affecting thousands and hotels full, I expected breakfast service to run until the posted 10 a.m. closing. I arrived at 9:40, but most of the food had already been taken away or was gone. The waffle makers were full of burnt leftovers you couldn't use, and for fruit and vegetables there was one cup of each left out. Other guests were still coming in to eat. I brought it up at the desk. The employee said matter-of-factly, “it's only til 10 on weekends there's nothing I can do.” When I asked if it was Saturday, she replied, “oh I don't know why she did that”. Horrible service. Hopefully they'll stay open until 10 tomorrow. There are lots of nearby hotels that are much better.

The room had some shoe marks on the wall and one outlet looked a little rough. Staff were helpful and the service was great. In the gym, the water fountain and the equipment disinfectant spray weren't working or available.

The location is amazing, but the front desk staff were unnecessarily unfriendly, and the air conditioner sounded like a helicopter. Please retrain the staff in customer service and keep the in-room equipment maintained and up to date. The hotel is okay overall.
