Hilton Garden Inn Palm Springs - Rancho Mirage

The 3-egg omelet was delicious, and Ashley was an excellent server who made sure we had everything we asked for with a smile. As early risers, we were glad breakfast starts at 6 a.m., since nothing else is open early on Sunday. I’d only ask for flavored cream for the coffee. I’ve stayed at lots of hotels, but this is the only one where I’ve had such a sound sleep. The rooms are quiet and comfortable.

We stayed overnight for a friend’s wedding and had a great time. We needed to get ready for the 4 p.m. wedding, and the concierge got us into a room early. We were so grateful to Ileanna for helping us out. The room was clean and spacious. I’m definitely planning a staycation here.

Breakfast was nice, and the stay was great. The property is old and could use renovation. The rooms didn’t have streaming options like Netflix or Prime.

I keep coming back because the location is so convenient, right by restaurants and bars that are easy and safe to walk to. The rates are usually reasonable, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is basic, but less expensive than elsewhere. The hotel is very old and badly needs updating, though. The rooms feel dated, the appliances are just okay, and the fridge was nearly done for. The beds were comfortable, and the room seemed clean if you didn’t look into the corners. The hall and room carpets are ancient. The pool area also needs work: its surface is peeling, and the water was murky for the first few days. It improved after I complained at the front desk. Only 12 of the 23 loungers could be used, as the rest were broken and need replacing.
