Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Livingston

The room was cheap, and the staff were welcoming to my dog, which I appreciated. But the place was in such poor condition, especially when it came to cleanliness, that I couldn't get comfortable. Its convenient location and the exterior photos make it look much nicer than it is. If you're traveling with a pet and watching every dollar, it could work in a pinch. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.

We've stayed here for about eight years whenever we visit Naskilla Casino, and I've never had a bad experience. I think there have been new Owners recently, and the whole Hotel has been remodeled. The rooms are beautiful and very clean, and the service is excellent.

We made it through check-in and to the room, then left. The smell hit us before we even got through the doors, and it didn't improve inside. The pool hours were only mentioned after we'd paid and got our key cards: it closes at 8 pm. That's a terrible decision when people are paying to stay somewhere with a pool. I understand the hot tub may have been removed because some people are destructive, but that still seems like a bad call. America's Best seems content with mediocrity. We found the place through Expedia. The site says what you see is what you pay, but doesn't mention a $100 deposit. About 30 minutes after arriving, we decided this wasn't somewhere we wanted to stay. We came back several hours later just to return the keycards and drove the hour home instead. The owners' response to this review is a flat-out lie. It does smell badly there, and I'd bet people staying there now would agree. This seems to be an ongoing issue at this location, judging by the other reviews.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff friendly. It's pet friendly too. Breakfast is included, with pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, fruit, cereal, toast, and juice. The rate is competitive, and it's a nice hotel. The whole place is non-smoking, which some people will like. I do miss hotels where you can smoke in your room.
