I stayed here for work long term and visited the night attendant literally every night, sometimes more than once. He was extremely helpful and friendly. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean, and there’s a spacious parking lot. It’s quiet at night, and I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. I’ve stayed at over 100 hotels and have seen plenty where you have to buzz attendants to get them out of a back room or wherever they are. That seems normal and human to me. Daytime is a whole different story, of course. Keep it up, guys.

For the price, I had a great stay. The room was clean, and the woman at the front desk was very helpful. The kids enjoyed the pool, and we could get food without having to drive anywhere.

The beds seemed new and were very comfortable, the shower had great water pressure, and the heat worked. I had a very comfortable stay. My smoking room was very clean for that type of room, though still outdated. The laundry area was old, but clean, and I saw a man sweeping up leaves in the parking lot. The breakfast was horrible: nothing hot, just rolls in a bag, juice boxes, and okay cold cereal. At first the Black lady working morning reservations wasn’t very friendly. We talked a little, and she agreed with me about things being upside down, food growing faster, and stuff being added to food. When I came back after checking out to rebook because the motel was full, she was short with me, like I needed to hurry. I was trying to book another motel on my phone, and suddenly I couldn’t use the washroom. I had to run to the gas station next door. They gave one excuse after another, saying the bathroom was in use or workers were sick. The motel was already full by noon, and it felt like nothing mattered except getting me out of there. On Sunday night, the night person said they had a lot of workers and couldn’t find me a room, or didn’t seem to want me to book on super.com. They asked me to check their rate first because it might be too low, so I did. She found a smoking room, which was all that was left. She was nice. I had salad and soup at the restaurant next door. I told the clerks that my mom had been coming to Brownsville, Texas since the 1970s. When I travel down south, people are usually super nice and friendly, but sometimes they suddenly seem to change and give you a bad look or say they’re busy when you ask for something. I’ve noticed this up north too, but I’ve seen it while traveling. I’m at Quality Inn now because I like the breakfast. The room is nicer, they have fresh eggs and a hot meal, and the staff are constantly friendly. I think Days Inn said they had a lot of workers and were trying to save rooms for them. Dan.

A semi truck broke down, and Roadrunner mechanic services brought me here for the night. The front desk guy went above and beyond, telling me where to get food and even offering me a ride back to the mechanic in the morning. First-class service in my book. There are a few places to eat nearby, plus plenty of DoorDash options, and it’s easy to get to from I-20.

Staff were very friendly, and you get what you pay for with the cheap rates: basic rooms, but the room, bathroom, and bed were very clean and well made. The bed felt very hard to me, so I had to try sleeping on my back. Outside noise was a pain because there was only a thin window between us and the walkway. When we were there, a work crew of about 20 people who all knew each other were rowdy, but they quieted down around 9. Breakfast was limited to a muffin, cereal, or yogurt and coffee, with tiny apple juices. It was worth every cent of what you pay.
