Howard's Motel

The owner was rude and unprofessional, and there were bedbugs all over room 22. I packed up on 10-01-2025. They didn’t refund the full amount I felt I should’ve been compensated, and showed no sympathy about the bugs.

The staff are friendly and understanding. I like the people who work there.

The bathroom floor and toilet felt like they were about to cave in, so I sat on the bed without touching anything while I looked for another hotel. The room was dusty all over, with a thin, nasty pillow, and the blanket had old wear holes, fresh cuts, and cigarette burns. The towels had big bare patches, and the shampoo was half used by whoever stayed before. During the brief check-in, the front desk woman said “NO REFUNDS” four times. I’m not high maintenance and thought I could manage one day, but I was wrong. There’s no pool either, it’s been filled in.

The more often I stayed, the worse things seemed to get. The beds and sheets, floor, bathroom, and towels looked disgusting. For a quick visit, bring your own blankets and towels, and probably a cleaner too. I first stayed while visiting a friend and found the motel calm and quiet. The room was small but alright, with worn, outdated carpet and furniture that could use an upgrade. It had a microwave, mini fridge, cable TV, and free wifi. The room price felt a bit high to me, though it was a nice, quiet little motel.
