Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Llano

The room was clean, but breakfast was disappointing. This morning there was no regular coffee, just bananas and yogurt, and maybe a little juice. The waffles were awful. The owners weren't friendly either, with no smiles or thanks.

The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, and housekeeping clearly works hard to care for the building. On the surface, the price seemed like good value. But what I witnessed and learned about the treatment of the feral cats nearby changed how I felt about Days Inn. A small group of shy, gentle cats and kittens live quietly around the property. They don't bother guests and help keep mice and pests away. Instead of showing compassion or contacting local rescue groups for humane trap-neuter-release (TNR), management has reportedly reached out to groups to have them killed. That's cruel and unnecessary. Rescue organizations in the area are willing to help the business at no cost, with humane trapping, spaying and neutering, and vaccinations. These programs reduce the cat population over time and help people and animals live peacefully alongside each other. Choosing harm when humane solutions are available is unacceptable and shows a disturbing lack of responsibility and humanity. If you stay here, please make clear that you support humane treatment of animals and don't condone harming or killing them. Ask management why it won't consider humane options. Speak up, because silence lets cruelty continue. These cats are innocent, defenseless creatures trying to survive, and their presence benefits the property. It's heartbreaking that a business would rather destroy life than work with caring organizations. Compassion costs nothing, and the choice to show it says everything about a place's character.

It's an older hotel, but very well maintained and extremely clean. Staff were courteous and helpful from check-in through check-out. The breakfast area was tidy and offered a nice meal to start the day. Our room was comfortable and had plenty of amenities. I'd definitely stay again when I'm in the area.

Management was kind and professional from check-in to check-out, and the rooms were very clean. The hotel is in a quiet area, so it was easy to get a good night's rest without distractions. It's minutes from Llano river and Coopers BBQ, with fun things for kids to do and good food nearby.
