Craig was a wonderful host, and we enjoyed watching soccer and baseball with him in the main room. Rebecca made waffles with strawberries and cream for breakfast, and they were fantastic. The coffee was really good too, and the bed was comfortable. It’s a lovely home with welcoming hosts in a beautiful historic neighborhood, within walking distance of Downtown Lodi and wine tasting spots. There are only three guest rooms. Highly recommend this sweet find.

Rebecca and Craig made us feel right at home, and their delicious breakfasts were a treat. They know the Lodi area well and gave us great recommendations. Bordeaux Inn is a charming little bed and breakfast in a great location. They made our anniversary extra special!

We had a very nice weekend tasting red Zinfandel, and would happily stay here again on another Lodi trip. Bordeaux Inn is in a quiet neighborhood, close enough to walk to downtown restaurants and tasting rooms, with nearby vineyards easy to reach too. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was excellent, and I especially appreciated the very good coffee.

We’ve visited Bordeaux Inn many times, and on our latest trip we got to take Rebecca’s Italian cooking class. We made pizza and pasta from scratch using two different sources, including our own ravioli and fettuccine, then baked the pizza in a real wood pizza oven. Eating Italian food we’d made ourselves with excellent Lodi wine was an unbelievable experience.

We meant this five-day birthday surprise to be a chance to recharge, and the home of Rebecca and Craig was just right for taking it slow. We did go downtown and visit some wineries, but most of the time we wanted books and our feet up on the porch. I’m a geek for historic homes, and the way the property had been preserved really stood out. Our room, the Chianti Room, felt like arriving at grandma’s house, with a comfortable bed, beautiful furnishings, and a welcoming feel. It had plenty of character without feeling too precious to touch. Rebecca and Craig are a charming, inviting couple, and getting to know them and the neighbors made the stay feel more like visiting friends than being paying guests. Garson, the true owner of the home, has four legs, and we became best friends in no time. Breakfast was wonderful, and they always asked about our preferences. I gained weight, my only real regret from the trip. Rebecca and Craig are involved in the community, so ask them where to go around the area. Their winery suggestions were spot on, and their wine tastes are neutral, so you can trust them to suggest places that fit what you’re looking for. We don’t often plan returns because we like discovering new places, but we made dear friends here and will come back to visit. If you want to recharge, sip wine, and take things slowly, visit Bordeaux Inn.
