The location is okay, but the beds are awful. They're temporary metal-frame beds with misshapen, horrible mattresses. At 9:35 a.m. an attendant knocked to tell me checkout had arrived. Daylight saving time had ended the night before, and he hadn't changed his watch. Even by his watch it was only five minutes past checkout. I shouldn't have someone knocking that quickly to tell me to leave. Complete garbage.

After a really long drive, the management made my son smile by welcoming us and giving him a little snack. They were very courteous. The place was quiet and smooth, with no riffraff. I'd stay again if I'm in the area and need a place.

This is my home away from home and safe haven. I'm here weekly, and the people are friendly. The property stays well kept, quiet, cozy, and comfortable, with shopping, a gas station, and restaurants close at hand. My visits over the past 5-6 years have been great, and I'll keep booking future stays at WINE COUNTRY INN.

Staff were friendly and courteous, but checkout at 10:30 a.m. felt a bit early. The motel is run down, and my room was plain filthy, though the bathroom seemed clean and sanitary. There was one clean, soft towel for two people. The mini fridge was clean and cold, but there were no vending or ice machines on site. The bedside-table lamp wasn't plugged in, and when I found the cord, I saw electrical tape wrapped around it in two places. That felt sketchy. The AC worked. I couldn't get the key to lock the door from outside, so I had to leave my girlfriend in the room while I went to the store. They were refinishing the parking lot during my stay. I think the money would've been better spent fixing some of the badly needed room repairs.

The room had everything we needed for an overnight stop at our price, and the quiet Lodi spot worked well between the coast and the Sierras. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and the newer furniture, carpet, bathroom tile, and fixtures were in good shape. The little air conditioner worked well too. There was no WiFi, but I’d definitely stay here again. It’s a really inexpensive, well-kept little motel.
