Motel 6 London, KY

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there were no bugs or mold. For a Motel 6, it was decent. But I stayed eight days and housekeeping never came once. Then, very early on checkout morning, the front desk called just to ask if I was checking out. It felt like they were rushing me, and the call was unnecessary. I don't think I'll stay there again.

The room was dirty, with hair in the sink and bathtub, and there were roaches. The woman at the front desk wasn't friendly at all. I wouldn't recommend it.

The furniture was old and badly worn, and the fridge was so nasty I wouldn't put anything in it. Luckily, we had a cooler. The TV wasn't connected, so I had to hook it up myself, and the remote didn't work. There's also a cat on the property that had to be kept out of the rooms and vehicles constantly. It's a Motel 6, so I didn't expect much, but it wasn't very clean. We got no receipt and no email, and one room was charged for smoking even though nobody smoked inside. Anyone who smoked went outside, where it was covered and warm. I called the property to talk through the charge and the other problems, which I'd also mentioned to the desk woman the morning we left. She yelled and swore at me over the phone and kept accusing me of making false claims. I tried contacting Motel 6 customer service, but they just advised me to keep calling the property at another time in case I reached a different employee. I'm accepting the loss over what I believe was a false accusation, but I'll never use Motel 6 again. Go to another exit and stay somewhere else. This was the worst hotel experience I've had in 35 years of booking rooms on trips. I've never lost a deposit before this dump.

Katie and the staff gave us the best Southern hospitality. They were kind, polite, and professional.
