We stayed in Lone Pine for a Mt. Whitney hike, and the hotel was a good value compared with the other options. The room had two queen beds, was a decent size, and was clean. Parking is right outside, and there's a supermarket within walking distance, plus a taco truck.

For a budget stay, this place was great. We paid $150 for a room with three queen beds, and it was spacious and tidy with clean, comfortable beds. It's one of the better motels you can find on 395. The towels were a bit dirty, which was the one downside, but otherwise I had a great experience.

The owner was one of the nicest people I've ever met, and was really helpful and accommodating to what we needed. The inn was perfectly located for our stays before and after climbing Whitney, and the rooms were great and reasonably priced.

I'm a solo traveler who usually picks motels for their simplicity, and I've had everything from dives to great stays. This one was better than I expected. I was in town to hike Mt. Whitney and just needed a clean room, comfy bed, shower, working AC, and mini-fridge. Everything worked fine. I also appreciated the personable person at the check-in desk. He remembered why I'd come and asked at checkout how the hike went. That kind of thing means a lot to me.

The color scheme was wild, but the room was surprisingly comfortable and clean. It was big, quiet, and had a nice kitchenette. The bed was better than most, and there were several pillows to choose from. Friendly staff and easy food options nearby, too. Actually one of the best places we've stayed on 395.
