Lumea by the Sea Long Beach Convention Center

The room was clean and nice inside, and the staff were great both day and night. We found a coffee shop just steps away, with the beach and places to eat also within walking distance. Parking was a bit of a challenge, though. We stayed for one night after our cruise, before heading home. The location worked perfectly, from making the reservation through checkout. I'd recommend this lovely spot.

The rooms had everything we needed, even for a one-night visit, and the service was wonderful. The staff were helpful, and the whole hotel smelled really nice. I didn't expect it to be as good as one of the big brand hotels, but it was. I'd recommend it, and I don't think you'd be disappointed even for a quick stay.

We had just one night, so I didn't get a chance to take photos. The building dates to 1920 and was remodeled in 2025, which gives it a lot of character. There are only two floors and no elevator, but the stairs are short. The older features made the hotel feel unusual, fun, and homey. Our Revive Club Level room included breakfast, use of the office center for printing and copying, and coffee, tea, and water at any hour. Breakfast was a light continental spread, sometime between 6 and 9:30, I think. The rooms are on the small side and best for two people. I loved staying here. It felt comfortable and home like, and I liked the aromatherapy and air purifier in the room. Downtown Long Beach has lots of places to eat, and the hotel can bring room service from a few nearby restaurants. They even let us use their Grub Hub account, with no delivery fee. It's about a 10 minute drive to Long Beach Cruise Terminal.

The front desk staff were really kind and helpful, and the rooms were lovely. No elevator, but carrying luggage up the stairs wasn't much trouble. There are lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance, along with the Aquarium and Shoreline. You have to use street parking, though there's a pass you can buy for $20 a night. The parking is about a block and a half away. Pretty cool stay overall, and I'd highly recommend it.
