Marriott Long Beach Downtown

We've made this our regular hotel before cruises from Long Beach. It's only an eight minute Uber ride to the port, and the front desk moved us to a higher floor so we could see it better. Parking is easy to arrange ahead, and costs much less than booking it through the hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and modern, with a lovely window reading nook overlooking the city. The bathroom had plenty of space and great lighting. There's a good restaurant downstairs if you want to stay in, and loads of other restaurants close by if you feel like exploring.

On our departure day, I realized I'd left my Kindle in the room while we were rushing to the port. There wasn't time for me to go back without risking missing the ship. Andrew, the manager, personally drove all the way to the port and brought it to me before we boarded. He turned a stressful moment into one of the best parts of our trip. That kind of care and dedication is rare. Thank you, Andrew! We already loved the hotel and its amenities. The property was clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Our favorite detail was the window seats, such a cozy spot to sit and enjoy the view. We loved staying there even before Andrew's help, and now we're fans for life. If you want a hotel that values its guests, this is the place.

I was there for a conference, not as a hotel guest, but the experience still left a strong impression. You could feel the care and accountability in the way people worked, and management was helpful, pleasant, and present when it mattered. The restaurant staff especially stood out. Keath and Guillermo were attentive and professional, and clearly proud of their work. Great people make a great hotel, and this team delivered.

The restaurant meals were fantastic. We had lunch and dinner there, and both the burger and fish tacos were delicious. Staff in every area were helpful and nice. The hotel is beautiful in downtown Long Beach, and our room was great and cleaned every day.
