Iris and Rafi made us feel so welcome, and breakfast was delicious, with eggs, homemade fruit and nut oatmeal muffins, and freshly made almond and peanut butters. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, and the rooms have vintage decor. I found every ornament and piece of furniture fascinating, along with the house’s history. A lovely stay.

A peaceful, picturesque spot, and a wonderful place to stay. The owners were lovely and really attentive. Both our room and the main house were beautiful.

The Pink room was spacious and really quiet. I liked reading about the house’s history over my morning tea. Iris and Rafi were charming hosts and made sure my three-night visit was pleasant. The location worked well for the Northern NJ places I was visiting, while still feeling like a peaceful retreat. It was exactly what I’d hoped for.

We had a great time and are already thinking about coming back with friends. The owners were sweet and friendly, and the house felt cute and comfortable while still being historic and authentic. Downstairs there’s a TV, a cozy sitting spot by the fireplace, and the dining room where breakfast is served each morning. Upstairs are four bedrooms. I believe at least two have their own bathrooms, and there’s also a shared hallway bathroom for the rooms without one. We were there for my birthday, and the owner kindly brought out a bottle of wine. In good weather, the backyard has chairs, a fire pit, and a hammock. The owners also had great local recommendations. We were impressed by the restaurant, brewery, coffee shop, and even the chocolate shop. It’s a small town, but all those spots are less than a two-minute drive away.
