Motel 6 Longview, TX - North

I was new to Longview and had to stay somewhere for a week before I could move into my place. This Motel 6 turned out to be a pleasant surprise. My room was comfortable and clean, and housekeeping checked each day to see if I needed anything. It's a great budget choice, and I'd pick it over the other motels nearby. Thanks to Miss April and her team for looking after me.

We've had a wonderful stay while my husband and I transition into our new home and stay near work for now. It's affordable, quiet, and my room is always clean. The staff have been helpful, and we haven't had any problems. Miss April and the short lady with the beautiful black hair, whose name I didn't catch, have both been AWESOME. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The rooms were already disappointing: no coffee makers, a half-clean refrigerator, and only one bath towel and washcloth. But what happened with my 7-year-old daughter is why I wouldn't come back or recommend this place to families. After I paid for a fourth day, we went into town, and a few hours later the motel called and told us to get our things and leave because she'd wet the bed by accident. I had requested room service and cleaning that morning, even though they don't provide it unless you ask. They kept both my deposit and the money I'd just paid that morning, and wouldn't return anything. They humiliated my daughter for something she couldn't control, while there were dogs shitting around the property, people smoking drugs in rooms, and loud noise throughout the night. I especially wouldn't suggest staying here with children who might sometimes have a bed accident.

I drove more than 2½ hours to stay at Motel 6 Longview North. I've been a Motel 6 customer for years without a problem, so I expected a straightforward night. Check-in went fine and the front desk staff seemed nice at first. I asked for a front-row room facing the highway, then went to bed. Around 11:05 PM, I woke with a burning feeling from bites and turned on the lights to find bugs crawling all over the bed. I called the desk right away. They said someone would come check, but nobody showed up. After I saw more bugs, I took photos, packed, and went to the desk. Dalton said he couldn't refund me because he wasn't management, and that the issue had only been put on a maintenance board. I had paid CASH and was told to email the owner about a refund, while bedbugs were crawling on me. I called non-emergency services myself. Police and EMS came to make sure I wasn't having an allergic reaction, and an officer confirmed there WERE bedbugs in the room. Even then, they said policy meant they couldn't move me to another room. Another man, possibly the owner or someone in charge, came out, was extremely rude, and told me, “YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND.” The police were there when he said it. There was no urgency or accountability, and they were dismissive and rude. I'll be filing complaints with the health department and the BBB. After this, I'll never stay at this location again, and I'll take my business to Hilton Hotels & Resorts from now on. DO NOT STAY HERE.
