Holiday Inn Express Suites Longview South I-20

Checking in and out was easy, and the rooms were great, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was great too, and the location right off I-20 is convenient. I gave service a low rating because a man with a big, dirty dog spent nearly the whole breakfast period talking to almost everyone. The dog was in the dining area and by the food holding area, and staff said and did nothing. I found that gross. If he was getting food with a service animal, I might understand.

Otherwise, this hotel was a fantastic find and I'll definitely return. I was there for a few days and gave five stars in every category except overall, where I gave a three because another guest made the stay less than stellar. He was an older man with a lovely, large dog, but the way he stared at me and others made me uncomfortable. Every day, I watched him talk to nearly everyone he could for as long as possible, so I couldn't stay downstairs and eat as long as I wanted.

Matt was at the front desk when we checked in after 9 pm and was very kind and welcoming. The rooms were excellent and so clean, and the fitness room was excellent too. Breakfast was okay, not the best we've seen, but we were there toward the end of service.

We were on a 1,500-mile family vacation and stopped here just to sleep. The bed was the most comfortable of the whole trip, and I'd definitely stay again. The hotel is right off the highway and cost a little over $100. The free breakfast had a very limited selection, though the kids ate waffles and probably would have picked those even if there had been more options. We didn't get to see the pool.
