Towneplace Suites By Marriott Longview

My husband stayed here for work for over a month, and we were impressed with the amenities and the facility. After he left, some very important packages arrived. I spoke with Johnathan Byrne, the general manager, and he handled the issue professionally and was great to work with. I’d recommend this location many times over.

The breakfast buffet had a delicious spread with lots of choices, and the room was spacious and spotless, with crisp sheets and nice décor. Staff were attentive and did whatever they could to keep us comfortable. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend it.

The front desk team was exceptional this time, and the hotel felt like a five-star Dallas hotel. Johnathan has clearly put a lot of attention into the place. On my last visit, the employees didn’t fully understand customer service, so I raised it with Jonathan. He took the feedback seriously, and I’ve never seen a manager turn things around so quickly. Johnathan is the best. He trains his staff well and makes guests feel important. TownePlace Marriott is becoming a well-run establishment, and I’m sure his attention to detail is a big reason. Thanks, Johnathan. I look forward to seeing you again.

The room was new, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast was good and ready on time. There was some road noise from being so close to the loop on a Friday night. The bigger problem was the TV. We told the lobby staff as we left for the afternoon, and they said they’d send someone up. Hours later it still wasn’t working, and no one let us know whether anyone had come by. I reported it again at the desk and was told the supervisor would be contacted and I’d get a callback. We waited, but nobody called. I eventually checked the back of the TV and found the cable unplugged, so I fixed it myself. Maybe nobody had used the TV in that room. The stay was fairly nice otherwise, but the front desk service was lacking.
