The Chateau Matmont has a classy atmosphere, great service, and good food. We ran into Chris Rock and keanu Reeves on the same night. You’re likely to spot celebrities here, and I’d definitely recommend it for a great date night.

Don’t come expecting a modern upgrade. This place feels a little haunted, but it’s full of old-school charm. Back in the day, it was my after-party hangout, and every now and then I stay the night to remember those good old days, when we were so young and full of life. The drinks are very strong and the service is good. The old smell almost makes me want to start smoking again. An unforgettable Chateau marmont vibe.

This was my first Christmas stay at Chateau Marmont, and the beauty of the place was exceptional. It’s my third visit, and each one has topped the last. My trips are usually spontaneous and unplanned. I love the history, and the location feels like L.A. in all its glory. I go between the Marmont and The Beverly because I adore them both equally. They’re both walkable to everything in Hollywood. Mulhalland is beautiful and artsy, with such an intriguing legacy. There’s so much to see and do, but the beauty of both properties and their rooms and cabanas makes it just as enjoyable to spend the day lounging by the pool.

The rooms are dated and the carpet has seen better days. The property could use some thoughtful investment and a refresh, especially in the accommodations. Still, the atmosphere is a huge part of why I came: the history, privacy, people watching, and sense of being part of an only-in-Los-Angeles story. I love this hotel and will absolutely be back as long as it keeps this level of service and charm. Service was the other standout. Every interaction felt warm, professional, and quietly attentive, from the gentlemen at the driveway and valet to check-in, the hotel staff, and the restaurant team. It was some of the best service I’ve had in a long time, relaxed but highly competent. The hotel arranged a massage and facial in my room, and both were exceptional. Everything was seamless, the therapists were outstanding, and the experience showed how strong the service culture is throughout Chateau Marmont.

The food was delicious, from the burrata and calamari to the Greek salad, tuna tartar, linguini with clam, and sautéed spinach. My daughter and I made lovely Christmas memories at Château Marmont. HASAN was an excellent waiter, PABLO was so nice while handling the check, and BLUE was courteous and polite. The valet team was wonderful too. We’re looking forward to coming back. Happy holidays!
