The rooms were cleaned regularly, parking was good, and I hope the price is good value. I stayed here under a different name and management, and the location is great, close to everything in Hollywood. There are a few homeless people on the LA streets, which put me off as a tourist. The issue has gotten worse, but that's a City of Los Angeles problem, not the Dusk Hotel's.

The room was roomy, with a king-sized bed, fridge, microwave, and a door bolt and chain. Towels and toiletries were provided, and staff were at the front desk whenever I needed them. Parking was available, and getting in and out was easy. Tourist attractions were close by. A man was checking the parked cars when I got off. The sheets had an odor I didn't like, though they didn't seem dirty. Also, the photo showed a breakfast counter, but there was no breakfast.

It was just okay, neither good nor bad, which feels like the definition of a 3-star hotel. The TVs were a bit dated. I stayed one day, and happened to be there at the same time as the author, Martin summer. He signed my book, and his “E-R” penmanship is really unique.

I only stayed at this lodging once, to meet someone who had started messaging me by text. I was living in a group home and couldn't host anyone there, so I usually rented a hotel room for a night about once a month and could have guests over. This was a very strange situation. The person I'd invited to hang out took off down to an athletic supporter, locked himself in the bathroom with his laptop, and stayed there for about an hour. My stay was overshadowed by sitting back and watching him go through a bizarre, completely unexpected episode. He said he thought the helicopters we could hear circling outside the building...

There was a lot going on in the small parking lot throughout the night. The motel itself looks worn, though the rooms are fairly large and the linens seemed clean. It's basic, with little in the way of amenities. There is a pool that looked clean, but I didn't see anyone around it. The staff were friendly enough. I accidentally left my car door open, and one of them came to my room to say he'd closed it for me. Thank God they noticed, or it could have turned into a bad situation.
