Regal Inn Los Angeles

The staff were the best part, kind, accommodating, and respectful. The place was clean throughout, and there’s a huge parking lot. The surroundings were peaceful, and downtown is about 15 minutes away depending on traffic. I stayed two nights and recommend it if you’re not expecting too much.

There’s plenty of room in the safe parking lot, and it was pretty quiet. At least I didn’t see any bugs. But the place could be much better if someone showed it some care. The TV was tilted, the walls needed paint where doors had banged into them, and there was no microwave or fridge, so the food I’d just bought might go to waste. Checkout at 10am felt early for the price. The person at the desk used his hands instead of speaking to communicate, which seemed racial to me.

We’d planned to stay three nights, but my friends and I left after about 12 hours because the rooms were disgusting. Yellow stains were all over the sheets, pillows, and even the walls. It smelled of cigarettes and old, dirty laundry. There was an ashtray inside and no smoke detector on the ceiling, which made the place feel unsafe. The inn seemed very poorly cared for, and the owner communicated badly. The online listing also didn’t mention that there were no toiletries beyond a sliver of a single soap bar. We knew the area seemed sketchy, but the website made the place look like a getaway from that. If you’re trying to save money and still be comfortable, don’t stay here. It’s a rip-off.
