Studio City Inn

For one night, the inn was good enough. The room was a little small and the bathroom especially tiny, but I don't have much else to complain about. The manager was friendly, check-in was easy, parking was on site, and the bed was comfortable. The location on Ventura Boulevard is amazing.

The room was far from clean. There were crumbs all over the carpet, black marks on the walls, and a strong pee smell in the bathroom. The blankets and sheets had holes, and I found a poop stain on the sheets. I don't think they wash the bedding between guests. Zero out of ten, I wouldn't recommend it.

The location was handy for Universal Studios, and you can walk to lots of good restaurants. Check-in was easy, and the room was clean, with some nice improvements like granite and remodeled bathrooms. The bed linens could use updating, though, and the place wasn't quite what we're used to. For the price and location, I'd stay again. It wasn't too bad.

The room temperature was just right, the shower was spacious, and the TV worked with free on-demand. The beds were firm, which I like, and the curtains blocked the direct sun, so they worked well for sleeping in. There's a mini fridge, and the front clerk was nice and let us check in early so we could go to Disneyland on the first day. We really enjoyed the stay. There was a little highway noise, but it wasn't too bad. With the window open or through the AC, you could hear the neighbors, though turning on the heater helped. They didn't turn down the room on the second day, which was fine. One coverlet had something on it that smelled like soap, and the pillows were a bit dingy smelling. The bathroom was short on space.
