The Glendon

The Glendon building is well maintained, and there’s always someone around to help with requests. Olivia, Kate, Hailey, Aman, Gregorio, Dawn, Caesar, and Chris all went above and beyond to make my daughter’s move into her new apartment go smoothly. They responded quickly when I needed information and were attentive throughout, from helping find a unit and sign the lease to making sure the mechanicals were in good working order. It’s reassuring to know my daughter is in good hands with the staff. Thanks, and see you all soon!

I don’t live at the Glendon Apartments in Westwood, but Olivia still went out of her way to find me when I lost my wallet nearby and make sure it got back to me safely. Her kindness, initiative, and integrity say a lot about the team’s leadership and culture. It seems clear that safety, kindness, and community matter there even when the person they’re helping isn’t a resident. Olivia goes beyond what her job calls for, and the values she shows come through in her everyday work. 💛

Adding an update to what I wrote below: after some back and forth, management addressed the fire alarm and water filter problems. The experience at this complex has been great overall, and Aman, Kate, and Dawn have been exceptionally responsive when issues come up. I hope that continues. I’m happy to say my rating has gone up by two stars. ___________________ I really didn’t want to give this place two stars, but some problems just weren’t getting addressed. I moved here from another Douglas Emmett property where I’d had a TERRIBLE experience, and was excited to live somewhere with a nice look and decent amenities. Less than a month in, the fire alarm had gone off EIGHT TIMES as a false alarm. Tonight it went off, stopped, then sounded five times in a row after 11pm on a Sunday. That’s absolutely unacceptable. The reviews make it seem like this has gone on for literal years without a proper fix. Whether it’s negligence or something else, it’s ruined what is generally a nice complex. My fridge still didn’t have a working water filter after three weeks. I hoped these things would get fixed, and said I’d update the review if they did.

Chris has handled several maintenance problems in our apartment, including plumbing, appliances, and the heater, and he’s been incredibly helpful and responsive. He communicates clearly and follows up to make sure things are taken care of. When unexpected delays happen, he explains what’s going on and makes an effort to come by as soon as he can. He’s patient, professional, and clearly cares about fixing things properly. I really appreciate all his help, thank you, Chris!
