The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood

The rooftop bar and pool area made our stay especially enjoyable, with lovely views and a welcoming atmosphere. From valet and the front desk to the bar staff, everyone greeted us warmly and was attentive and professional. Our room was clean, stylish, and thoughtfully laid out. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom felt fresh and well cared for. Quick elevators, plush towels, and blackout shades that worked well were small touches that helped us relax.

Blake at the front desk was a big help, and we’ll definitely stay at this boutique hotel again. We’ve already been recommending the Godfrey hotel in Hollywood to everyone. It was a pleasant surprise, beautifully designed from the lobby bar and restaurant to the gym and rooftop pool, which has a magnificent view. The modern room had everything we needed, including delicious coffee and the most comfortable bed and linens.

We’ll stay somewhere else next time. The room was small, the coffee machine wouldn’t work at all, and unexpected fees were added to our bill. There was a $35 per day amenity fee, but what amenities? There wasn’t even a microwave for leftovers. One elevator was out of service all weekend, leaving just one for the entire hotel for two days, so we waited several minutes each time. The small gym isn’t much of an amenity, and charging extra for pool access seems absurd. Having your rep answer every review by saying pool access, a small gym, and WiFi are worth $35 a day is lame. The fees came to over $90 for a two-day stay. We’ve stayed at plenty of other area hotels with more amenities and without these exorbitant charges.

I was surprised by the negative reviews. I travel often, and my weeklong business stay here was top tier. The hotel was clean and modern throughout, and while the rooms are small, they’re very nice. Staff were friendly and helpful every day. I’d absolutely stay again. If you want a sunset view from your room, ask for one facing Cahuenga blvd.
