Hotel Koxie

The floor we stayed on had already been renovated and looked beautiful, even though work was still underway elsewhere in the hotel. Our room was updated and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom, and the beds were very comfy. The staff were friendly, and I liked having underground parking. The area felt safe. I'll absolutely stay here again.

The rooms were clean and nice, with a huge TV that was great for watching shows. The neighborhood is quiet, but not especially convenient, and there aren't restaurants or bars nearby, so get food before checking in. A 7-Eleven and liquor store are within walking distance. Parking is only $15, with plenty of underground spaces, though the garage smelled like oil or gas for some reason. They're renovating, and I'd stay again for the cheap rate.

It's been three weeks and I still haven't got my $200 deposit back. It's pending, so my bank can't recover the money, and when I call, they say they didn't charge me. This place is old and there's not even drinking water in the room. I had my family stay here while they visited LA, then had to move them to a better hotel downtown, where they loved it. Don't book here. I ended up spending more here than at a four-star hotel. Worst of all.

The room probably won't look like the photos they posted, and I found that disappointing. Maybe the quality is acceptable for the price, but hotels keep showing pictures that don't match what you actually get. I wouldn't recommend this place or stay here again.
