5star Downtown LA 3BD Convention Resort

If your plans are at the LA Convention Center, this is a great place to stay.

We felt unsafe in the neighborhood throughout our stay, and it ended up ruining a big part of the trip. The building entrance is actually a block away from the address shown, at 1357 S Flower St., on a dark side street beside the subway line. There were homeless people, trash, and drug dealers openly selling on a bench just steps from the entrance. We were too frightened to walk back at night, so we missed a lot of late afternoon walks. I'm not exaggerating. Booking.com lists 1318 S Figueroa St. and shows what looks like a clean, bright, appealing neighborhood, but we couldn't find that address when we arrived. Google Maps also showed no building there. We were told it was the Viewpoint Suites parking lot, but it's really a public lot. We felt the false address was used because people wouldn't book if they saw the real one.
