The 10th-floor room was spacious, quiet, and had a nice view. I especially liked having the shower separate from the bathroom, which gave us more privacy, and the Wi-Fi worked. There was tea and coffee included, plus the staff kept me supplied with water and ice. The food was great too. I stayed three nights and felt very comfortable, which isn’t always the case for me in downtown Los Angeles. Check-in was smooth, the instructions were clear, and the security made me feel safe traveling alone. The staff were great, and the hotel was clean throughout. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

The Hoxton made the end of a tiring trip easier. Check-in at 2pm and checkout at noon left just a two-hour turnaround, instead of the long gap many hotels create with an early checkout and a late check-in. That small bit of consideration made a real difference. The welcoming feel, easy design, and sense that things were taken care of without having to ask all added to it. My allergies usually make hotel carpets a concern, so the hardwood floors and simple decor were a relief. The room felt airy and well kept, with no musty carpet or suspicious stains. In South Park, on the edge of DTLA, it’s quiet but still accessible. The corner felt bright and safe, across from The Proper Hotel, and a short Uber ride got us to plenty of restaurants, nightlife, and attractions. It’s a useful base if you want to explore without staying right in the center. The rooftop pool and bar were a highlight, with lovely views and a nice place to unwind or catch a romantic sunset. Two drinks cost us about $50, though, which felt steep even with the setting. There’s also an on-site café and diner for an easy coffee or bite, but prices are higher than at places outside the hotel. The room’s hardwood floors were also a welcome change for my allergies, and the simple, clean feel was comfortable.

Stylish, fun, and a little sophisticated. The rooms feel new, with modern lighting and a good layout, though they’re somewhat small. The downtown LA location is great, and I’ll stay here again. Loved the Marshall Bluetooth speakers, too.

I’ve stayed here several times and usually enjoy it. The room was fine this time too, clean and functional, with no accommodation issues. Check-in, though, was uncomfortable. The receptionist said she couldn’t find my booking. I explained that I had two reservations, one through Airbnb and one through my company, but she kept repeating that she couldn’t locate them in a raised, intense tone. I understand the lobby was busy and she may have been overwhelmed, but the way she dealt with it left me uneasy. I also felt she spoke to me differently than she did to other guests. As a Latina, that left a bad impression, especially because the front desk is the first interaction you have at the hotel.

The room was quiet, cozy, and clean, with a distinctive, thoughtful design. The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. Bedding stood out most: the mattress was comfortable, and the duvet cover felt much better than a basic sheet. It had very little synthetic fiber, so it was breathable and comfortable. The room also had a kettle and all the essentials. Really good quality by U.S. hotel standards, highly recommended.
