Titta Inn

Titta is a little old, but it's kept up well, and the room was clean. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. There's no free breakfast, but the complimentary snack bar was generous, with candy, several kinds of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and bottled water. For LA, the price seemed fair compared with the average hotel rate, and I enjoyed my stay.

I took photos and went straight to the front desk after finding a large blood stain on the side of the bed. Under the covers, there were also several strands of hair and dye or oil spots on the bedding, and the bathroom smelled like urine. The window had been left wide open. The manager didn't look surprised or apologetic, as if this had happened before, but offered us another room, which we agreed to see since we had plans in the city the next day. In the second room, the lights didn't work and the furniture was falling apart. We decided the long drive home was better than staying somewhere we didn't feel safe. Peter was our manager and helped get us a refund, so I do give him credit for that. I booked in early March because the "amazing" reviews made it seem almost too good to be true. I don't know what Narnia door those reviewers came through, but from the moment I entered, something felt strange. If you stay, check every inch of the beds.

The room was huge, with a big bathroom, and there was unlimited coffee, tea, and chocolates. I also found the lobby microwave handy for warming up leftovers. When the hairdryer didn't work, they replaced it right away. Great service, and I'd consider staying here again.

We got in around 3:00am and still received really good service from the staff on duty. The room was clean and nice, and the toilet was spotless and well equipped. When I asked for extra tissue, they brought it within 10 minutes. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. The free snack bar was wonderful, with coffee, different teas, lots of good chocolates, bananas and apples, jam and jelly, and bottled water. Room rates were reasonable, and the location was great. We stayed three nights and had a great experience. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
