Moving from the DC area to Louisville was a big transition, and living at Main & Clay made it much easier. The building is modern, comfortable, and well maintained, just what I hoped to find when relocating. Jay deserves a special mention. He was kind, friendly, and accommodating, went out of his way to handle everything, and made me feel welcome from day one. Main & Clay has been a great place to land, and I'd recommend it to anyone moving to Louisville.

We loved living here so much that, five years after moving out, it's still our favorite of the seven apartments we lived in during our twenties. We even borrowed several design ideas for our home. The location was great, the pool was well kept, and the natural light was incredible. We had a 1/1, but it felt open thanks to the space and sunlight, and our view was amazing. The thoughtful design in each unit really stood out. The front office staff were kind and personable, and always knew us and our pets. You'd be happy living here.
The leasing and management staff have always been nice and helpful, and I've never had a maintenance issue. My girlfriend and I move a lot for work and have lived in several new “luxury” complexes across the country. Main & Clay is the nicest one so far. The unit is large for the price, and you can walk to everything in Nulu, with more shops and restaurants continuing to open.
The building was clean, I felt safe, and the apartment was nice and updated. Parking was great, too. I could always find a place for guests. Management was consistently nice and receptive, but nothing changed about the noise. The walls are thin, and neighbors could be disrespectful. Quiet hours weren't followed or enforced, which was a huge struggle since I was in training and worked a lot of nights. My upstairs neighbor was really loud for much of my year, despite several polite requests and complaints. Packages also went missing a few times, though I don't know whether that's been fixed. If noise isn't a concern, there aren't major issues otherwise. I just wish I'd seen more reviews about how bad it could get before moving in. I lived there in 2020-2021, so things may have changed.
I really liked my apartment and its view. I could watch thunder from the balcony. The staff were helpful and very nice, and the location was good. The gym and club room were lovely. The packaging room was the only thing I had to complain about. Overall, a nice place to live.
