Microtel Inn by Wyndham Louisville East

We’ve been here three times, and it works well as a no-frills hotel. The bed is comfortable and the room was clean. This visit, the shower water only stayed warm for a short time.

The woman at the service desk was kind and understanding, and we appreciated that. Still, we had to change rooms twice because both were disgusting. I really just wanted to check into a clean place.

We decided to leave after about ten minutes in the room because we didn't feel safe or comfortable. At 1 a.m. the doors were unlocked and people could come in freely. There was a strong cigarette smell, and our room smelled of smoke too. The furniture and bedding were stained, and there was hair on the bed. The man at the front desk wasn't very friendly either. We were told that two rooms had somehow been booked, but they couldn't refund the unused one. Even after charging us for both despite the brief stay, they offered no compensation for the double booking or the rest of the experience.

The front desk staff were very friendly, but the room had some worrying problems. When I switched on the hairdryer, it started smoking, and there was no smoke alarm in the room. The toilet seat's laminate was peeling off. We also could have used at least two hangers for our jackets.
