Hampton Inn & Suites Louisville East

Breakfast was included and delicious, and the room was really nice and clean. We were greeted warmly when we arrived, and I got several texts during the stay checking that everything was going well. We hope to come back to this same hotel next year. Thanks again!

We picked Hampton because we were traveling with our dog. The clerk warned us at check-in, and while the hotel does allow pets, the manager clearly doesn’t like dogs. She was curt and nasty when she checked us out. If dogs are that much of a problem for her, she should work somewhere else. There was also a problem with the bathroom door. Once it was shut, we couldn’t open it from outside. We called the desk, and the employee came up and opened it. When we asked if it would be fixed, he just said not to close it unless we were inside. That doesn’t seem reasonable during a stay. We compare this with the other Hamptons we’ve stayed at, and this one didn’t meet expectations.

The ducks outside were really cute, and the breakfast was good, with waffles and lots of toppings, potatoes, sausage, cheese omelets, cereal, yogurt, bagels, toast, pastries, plus coffee, milk, and juice. The guy at the desk was polite at check-in and offered us bottled water. We came for our last night in the state and wished we’d stayed here the whole time. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, there were plenty of bathroom linens, and the shower actually got hot. No bugs, thankfully. There was a welcome message with my name on the TV, and it was neat that the phone could unlock the room, adjust the thermostat, and control the TV. We’ll book here again.

We got in around 1 a.m. using the app, and having a digital key was handy. Checking out in the app took maybe ten seconds. The staff were really friendly, the room was clean and roomy, and breakfast had a big selection. It’s close enough to Louisville that our trade show was only 20 minutes away, but far enough out to avoid the city traffic. I’ll stay again next time.
