The breakfast spread had a lot to choose from: oatmeal, cheese omelets, egg white frittatas, chicken sausage patties, waffles, boiled eggs, four juices, condiments, and coffee. I probably missed something. My wife booked while we were having dinner at Moe's Southwest Grill, about eight miles away, during our November 11-13, 2025 trip south from Northwest Arkansas to the Rio Grande Valley. We had a King Studio, the nicest motel room we've ever stayed in. The bed was comfortable, the couch firm, and the bathroom roomy. If I needed to spend a lot of time in a hotel room, this is the sort I'd want. The shower door wouldn't stay shut and let water onto the floor. The desk chair was hard to roll, and its back could have been taller, though that's personal preference. I worked for a Hampton Inn in the mid-1980s, when the chain had fewer than 100 hotels and belonged to Holiday Corp. Hilton has made some nice changes since taking it over.

After a long day on the road, the little extras really mattered, especially the complimentary full-size shampoo and conditioner. My mother and I travel a lot, and for this price range, this is easily the nicest hotel we've stayed at.

The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was super comfortable. Being close to the highway was handy, too. What wasn't okay was housekeeping knocking at 9 in the morning and opening the door while I was in the shower, before I could answer. That's far too early to be checking rooms, even if there's no sign up. Waiting until 10 or 11, or checking the computer for departures, would respect guests' privacy better.

I won't stay here again. After an eight-hour drive, I asked to get into my room 30 minutes early so I could use the restroom and change for a meeting. The room was already ready, but they charged me $50. Then I had to leave a three-night stay a day early to go to another project in a different state, where I was also staying at a Hilton. They wanted another $100 for checking out early. I've spent more than 100 nights a year at Hilton properties around the country for years and have been a Diamond member, but this was the greediest, worst experience I've had with Hampton or Hilton. Practices like this will lose them traveling business people and workers. Kayla wasn't helpful.
