The breakfast is pretty good, and the hotel is clean and affordable. We come back whenever we're in the Lumberton area, and nothing has gone wrong during our stays. There haven't been any surprise charges or deposits either. My one gripe is the slow elevator, though it does work. Based on staying here before, I'd recommend it.

Getting here from Route 95 is easy, and there's an Outback right next door. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a great deal for the price.

The beds were comfortable and the rooms were large, but the rest of our week-long stay with my coworkers was rough. The internet was horrible, and all of our rooms had problems: some outlets didn't work, lamps were missing bulbs, the tiny TVs were broken, and the furniture and finishes were falling apart. There were also lots of people at the breakfast bar who didn't seem to be staying at the hotel. The staff were great, but seemed overworked. At checkout, I had to get a receipt and the desk attendant wasn't even at this hotel because she was working at the one next door. When management does that, it's hard not to feel bad for the staff's working conditions. The security situation worried me too. Between 9 and 10 PM, I saw several cars come through, apparently checking the place out for theft. Someone stole items from my work truck, which was parked right by the main door in view of a camera. When I asked if someone could check the footage to see whether a police report was worthwhile, I got excuses and never heard back. Given how many security cameras there are, it seems like this has been an issue. These problems reflect neglect by ownership, not the staff. Be careful if you stay here.

We couldn't stay in the room for even five minutes. One bed was broken, and the sofa bed wouldn't open all the way. It sat at such a ridiculous angle that it couldn't be used, and it had no sheets and several stains. The hotel was absolutely disgusting, which was very disappointing. They did refund us so we could go to another hotel. The woman wasn't especially pleasant, but I was glad she agreed to the refund without arguing. It made me think this may happen a lot.

The pool, weight room, and laundry were all closed, and the tub wouldn't drain properly. I expected more from Comfort Inn, since it's meant to be the top end of Choice Hotels. The place fell well short of what I expected, and I won't be back.
