Heather gave us the best customer service we've ever had at this location, and we have stayed here several times over the past couple of years. She was friendly to everyone and stayed courteous when evangelical Christians tried to push their beliefs on her and get her to buy their CDs, even though she seemed too busy to listen to a sermon. When the woman turned to me, I gently said I wasn't interested in preaching. She said, “Yes, but...” and I said, “No, but!!! I'm an atheist, and she seems busy.” We exchanged a couple more pleasantries, and the woman looked visibly panicked before moving on. Christians, stop harassing people who can't afford to buy your stuff. Heather stayed professional and courteous to both of us through the whole conversation. We'll definitely keep coming back, and I hope to see her every time. My five stars go to Heather personally. Amazing, professional, and the best customer service ever.

We couldn't shower because maintenance said a piece of the water faucet was broken. The smoke alarm went off twice, nearly giving us a heart attack, and I'm pretty sure it was the batteries. The bed was hard as concrete. Then we got up early to leave, exhausted, and found the elevator broken, so we had to take the stairs. The hallways smelled bad, and the floors and room weren't very clean. We told the overnight guy about all of it and asked for at least half a night's refund. He said none of it surprised him, but he couldn't do anything and told me to call the GM. I called several times and left messages, but never got a call back. It was a disaster for us.

The room and bed were great, and the employees were amazing. But the doors need updating, and the elevator was scary to ride. On my last night, it stopped working altogether.

I'm writing about our December 26-28 stay. We've stayed at this property many times, and the quality has been slipping for a while, but this visit was unacceptable. At check-in, we were told not to use the second floor because the elevator wasn't working there, which meant carrying luggage up and down the stairs. With a newborn and a five-year-old, that wasn't feasible. The ice machine was also broken, and a sign sent guests to the second floor for ice, meaning more trips on the stairs despite the elevator problem. On the third floor, the hallway carpet was shockingly dirty, covered in caked mud, piles of dirt, and embedded dog hair. There were visible lines of debris near the room entrances. A strong, lingering wet dog smell filled both the hall and our room, making it unpleasant and unsanitary. We would have left immediately if another hotel nearby had a room, but the holiday left us with no alternative. Charging guests, especially families with young children, to stay in those conditions is completely unacceptable.

My wife and I stayed for a couple of days. The room was spacious and clean, breakfast was good, and the breakfast area was well stocked and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue was that a guest with whiny, barking dogs was put right across the hall from us. They weren't barking constantly, but they would start up early in the morning and around 10 at night, and it sounded like they were in our room. Even so, we loved the place.
