Motel 6 Lumberton, NC

There was no hot water, food had been left in the fridge, and the floor felt like I nearly fell through it. The place wasn't clean, and the bedding seemed used. Roaches were everywhere. The front desk person had gone, so I couldn't get help. If I could get my money back, I would. I strongly don't recommend staying here.

I saw some roaches, though the room wasn't heavily infested. The sheets smelled odd and had holes, and the floor needed sweeping. The whole room could use an update. I won't be back.

It's Motel 6, so I guess it comes with the territory, but the roaches were awful. One was so comfortable around me I named it Pumpkin. They weren't scared of people at all, which seemed unusual. The place smelled damp and musty. The location felt iffy, with bikers and people from the street around, though they'd probably protect you, lol. I did have a nice mattress on a bed frame, which at least reminded me I was in the USA, even if it felt like beautiful downtown India. Maybe you wake up refreshed if you manage to fall asleep. Still, it's better than driving all night, I guess.

I woke up with adult roaches and countless babies on me and all through the covers. There must have been at least ten adults, and they seemed to be everywhere. When I called the desk to ask for another room, they said it was unlikely the next room would be roach-free and I might end up somewhere worse, so moving would be a waste of time. I stayed one night at Motel 6 and won't do it again. I'll seek a refund through the site where I booked. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
