The main things that bothered me were the poor housekeeping and the misleading breakfast listing. We came from Pennsylvania for my sister-in-law's funeral and booked two days because the price and advertised free breakfast seemed reasonable. There was nothing to eat, just powdered creamer packets, and no coffee. After seeing how dirty the place was, I probably wouldn't have eaten anything anyway. The room looked okay at first, but then we noticed filthy walls, a gross bathroom floor, and a dirty fridge. We never got a hot shower in two days, just lukewarm water at best. The mattresses sagged and the pillows were flat. The sheets at least seemed clean, and I understood the beds given the low price, but basic cleanliness should have been a priority. There were little bugs crawling around, though I don't know what they were. I wish I'd taken pictures. The outside didn't feel very safe, and we could hear people moving and talking through the night. Those things I could have put up with for the price. The lack of proper cleaning and the false advertising were too much. Please be honest about the amenities and hire better housekeepers. I won't be back.

We asked for a refund after seeing the room, but the woman at the desk was rude and disrespectful. I showed her photos of the bugs and the room's condition. She offered to move us to another hotel they owned a few minutes farther south on Interstate 95. After this, I wasn't comfortable taking a chance on another property they ran. We were only in the area because our car was having problems, and I couldn't risk getting back on the interstate. I also asked if they could help pay for the room next door, but they declined. It never hurts to ask, though the refusal was disappointing. The room wasn't wheelchair accessible, even though we'd specifically booked that. There were no smoke alarms, which is a serious safety concern. Within five minutes of walking in, I noticed a bug and a long dark hair on the bed. I'm blonde, so it wasn't mine. There were stains on the floors, furniture, and bedding. I also saw what looked like bedbugs and carcasses on the sheets and floor. That was extremely disturbing, and leaving with bedbugs would have been a much bigger problem. The office smelled so strongly of paint when we entered that it felt like the place wasn't ready for guests. Breakfast had been advertised, but there wasn't any, which was frustrating after a long trip. I understand the hotel may have only recently opened, but if it's not ready to accommodate people, it shouldn't be operating. The room condition was unacceptable. It was a very negative stay, and I wouldn't recommend this place.

We stopped here while driving back from Florida and paid $100, even though the online listing showed a lower rate. It was late, so we accepted it. They first put us in a smoking room with a doorknob that had a piece coming off. My boyfriend asked for another room, and they moved us promptly to a non-smoking one, but its door wouldn't close properly. There was a gap by the wall and cold air coming through. Then we found a huge roach on the floor beside the bed. I felt disgusted and unsafe, so we asked for a refund. They refused, even though barely 20 minutes had passed since we booked. The Rodeway Inn across the street was $30 cheaper, with much nicer staff and a cleaner room. Stay away from this place.

There seemed to be weekly renters next door. Large, ripped-open bags of household trash were left in the walkway outside their door, right beside mine. The room had sticky floors, like someone had mopped with sugary dirty water and left dust bunnies in several spots. The chairs and comforter were torn and stained. There was no wastebasket, and the electrical plate was broken, which seemed unsafe. The coffee pot was broken too. At 7 a.m. I stopped by the lobby for coffee. The clerk had his head down on the desk, but popped up when I asked. He pointed me to two pots: one was empty and burning, and the other had just over a cup of burnt coffee. When I left, he was back in his chair with his head down.

The beds were comfy and the room was small but pretty clean. It wasn't a bad stay for the price, though the bathroom was tiny and the place could use some paint and updating. There were only two small towels even though our reservation was for three. It took a few minutes to get the TV working, and there were maybe 8-10 channels. People outside looked a little sketchy, but I try not to judge by looks alone. Breakfast was toast, waffles, cereal, milk, and Sunny D. It wasn't terrible.
